چکیده
Integral hydrophobic treatment is the most effective method to prolong service life of concrete by resisting transport water containing aggressive ions. The hydrophobicity phenomenon cementitious materials with carboxylic acid type admixture has been presented, and experimental studies, including adsorption, amount hydration products, pore system, are conducted reveal mechanism. It reported that present excellent resistance ability, results nitrogen adsorption isotherm show addition increases volume surface area cement pastes. In addition, fractal geometry theory applied relation between structure permeability coefficient pastes a agent. conclusion, high tortuosity dimension result in when system mixed new admixture.

EFFICIENCY FACTOR OF SUPPLEMENTARY CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS: A STATE OF ART
The use of supplementary cementing materials is gradually increasing due to technical, economical, and environmental benefits. Supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) are most commonly used in producing ready mixed concrete (RMC). A quantitative understanding of the efficiency of SCMs as a mineral admixture in concrete is essential for its effective utilisation. The performance and effective...
متن کاملCarboxylic Acid Structure and Chemistry
Carboxylic acids are hydrocarbon derivatives containing a carboxyl (COOH) moiety. Recall that carbon has four valence electrons and therefore requires four electrons or bonds to complete its octet. Based on this valence and bonding order, carbon forms four bonds in its neutral state, and these may be four single bonds or combinations of single and multiple bonds. Oxygen has six valence electron...

Nanomechanical Properties of Cementitious Materials Paramita Mondal Although cementitious construction materials are mainly used in a large scale and in huge quantities, fundamental properties such as strength, ductility, creep, shrinkage, and fracture behavior depend, to a great extent, on structural elements and phenomena which are effective at the microand nanoscale. This research involves c...
